cha-ordic thinking
It's summer holiday time. Since two years this means 'writing time' for my Phd project. It's beautiful weather, I feel less tired (the start of my study asked so much more energy than I expected) and I am really in to it now. After my dive in quantummechanics to find out the characteristics of the organization as an "orgmind", at this moment it's all about: Chaos and Complexity Theory. Attractors, bifurcation, dissipation, butterfly effect, holons, autopoieses,.......... It's so inspiring to discover all the links beween them, since they all lead to just one 'truth', the world you see when you' look through your Chaos lens on. I use Chaordic Systems Thinking, worked out by van Eijnatten, Fitzgerald et al. Funny to see that in essence it seems to be quiet the same as Complex Adaptive Systems, elaborated by Stacey, Holland and Saskia Harkema in The Netherlands. We all seem to want to approach reality from different angles. So even within one stage, let's call it the integral/holistic worldview (Wilber, Beck) we have different preferences and views of that one "truth". Though as far as I found, there is no arguing about who's thruth is more true. So there is a difference. The difference is, they don't differ. Long live the paradoxes!

Enterprise 2.0
This week I went to Sogeti's VINT event Enterprise 2.0. Just to get a feel of what's the status quo of IT and it's influence on organizational development. Nice happening, but a bit disappointed in finding really new concepts (expect from holacracy). Very excited about listening to Sun's Chief Open Source man Simon Phipps though. About open source, communities, twitter and weblogs,.... Yes he inspired me to start a more serieous blog, this attempt!!. I have got one on Gaia.com for whatever reason that does not really spark me off writing about what intriges me in business: chaords etc. Yesterday I went to the Stichting Alliantie Innovatie (SIA) and had another inspirational day pleasantly suprised by (again lots of technical innovation and lacks of management or organizational innovation exept from) Nico Baken, Professor at Technical University Delft and Strategic advisor at KPN. He spoke about a new way of connecting us all (and businesses) through IT, networks etc. My way! Funny how I tried to find links and new ideas from the business development side, and now they seem to come from the side I always tried to avoid from class 2: phySICs and algebrbrbrbrbrra. After my dive in quantum mechanics,... curious where this road leads me to??
Ready for take off
Hi all,
This is going to be a blog about my journey in the world of cha-ordic thinking and Integral leadership development. A journey without a fixed route. The destination is clear though: 2 Tier business development. Off we go!!
